"My son James just participated in the Alex Brown football camp in Lisle, IL, and we wanted to let you know what a wonderful experience it was for him. We picked him up this afternoon from camp and he is already having withdrawals and wants to go back for another week. He will be turning 8 in a few weeks and is basically a "homebody" so we were a little hesitant about sending him off to an overnight camp. We even bought him a cell phone so he could call us if he got homesick. Well, he NEVER called us! When we called him, he said that he was too busy playing with his new friends and having fun and he would then quickly hang up on us. The camp was so professionally run from the parents who were his dorm counselors to his football coaches to Alex Brown himself who always made himself available to the campers and their families. James said that he "made a lot of new friends, ate in the great cafeteria, swam in the 13-foot pool and, of course, learned a lot about football". We also were impressed by how all of the coaches constantly stressed the importance of getting good grades in school. James will definitely be back next year and we will pass on the good word about your camp to his Plainfield Junior Cats teammates this fall.
